Our Slip Collar is perfect for dogs who are strong willed, pull on the lead, or are easily distracted while on walks. If your dog has a tendency to run after squirrels, dogs, or anything else that catches his or her eye, then this collar is for you. It provides for a quick “correction” so your dog learns to stop the inappropriate behavior and get back on track.
Correctly Using the Slip Collar (Tab)
You will find a tug-and-release to the side method is the most effective way to use this collar. Pulling straight back is often non-productive, as the dog will just pull against the lead. By giving a quick tug to the side, the dog is momentarily taken off stride and you have his or her attention.
Always keep your dog’s safety in mind when using any lead or collar and giving corrections. Slip collars should never be used in a crate or with dogs that have delicate tracheas, such as Yorkshire Terriers. Ask a local professional if you are not familiar with how to use this collar.
Suggested Uses
The Slip Collar can be used for:
- Training Enables you to eliminate your dog’s bad behaviors such as tugging on the lead or excessive distractions during walks.
- An Every Day Collar Use it to take your dog for his or her daily walks. The quick on and off feature is convenient and makes it perfect for when you are in a hurry.

Let me ask you a question. Have you ever sat in a car without seatbelts and you feel like you are been tossed around? Yeah, if only dogs could talk. Luckily, you don’t need your dog to talk to know they are uncomfortable because you care enough to get them the Car Safety Restraint
It also protects them when you get into an accident. Short traffic Lead is good for walking your dog in cities and high traffic areas.. It allows you to keep your dog close and to maintain direct control over your dog . Plus this fine leather product is an eye catching accessory!
The Short Traffic Lead & Car restraint is a must for every dog. This was inspired by EMT's and first responders that talked with us about car accidents involving dogs.
This was inspired by EMT's and first responders that talked with us about car accidents involving dogs. We all love to take our dogs for car rides and they LOVE to ride along with us. However, we never think of what happens to them in the event of an accident.
Responders have recounted the heart break for the family when they discover their beloved dog was ejected from the car and killed, or when the first responders opened the door to help the injured passengers, the dog bolts from the car and into oncoming traffic or run off in fear.
Accidents are extremely traumatizing for dogs. The crash with the impact and noise cause great stress and anxiety for the dog, along with the sirens and people coming to the car with uniforms, and helmets or hats add to their fears.
Most first responders recognize the dogs fear and are reluctant to try to handle a scared dog without a restraining lead. Yes, your dog is loving and sweet but when scared and approached by strangers many dogs will act out and/or bolt from the car. First responders are there for you and your passengers, if your dog bolts or acts out, it creates a challenging situation.
The Short Traffic Lead & Car Restraint lead will keep your dog in its seat in the car. This eliminates driver distraction and keeps your dog safe while driving. The handle of the short Traffic Lead/Car Safety Restraint is used with the seat belt. Just slide the seat belt through the handle and secure the seat belt. Your dog can sit, stand and lay down, but can not roam in the back seat and in the event of an accident is not thrown from the car.
EMT's are grateful for the Car Restraints. It allows them to open the door and know the dog can not bolt from the car or attack EMTs. It allows the First responders to help you and your passengers, and your dog is safe. When they calm your dog, they can release him from the seat belt and have the Traffic lead to control him until someone arrives to take care of your dog. The Traffic Lead/Car Restraint also allows you to control your dog in the event of an accident that you are not injured in. The Traffic & Car Restraint Lead is a must have for every dog. The short lead also allows you to remove your dog from the car with total control, no fumbling to get the leash on the collar.
B- High Traffic Ares (Pedestrian or Automobile)For times you literally must keep your dog “ on a short leash” .
-The Short TRAFFIC & Car Safety restraint can be used as a Traffic Lead to keep your dog close to you, and away from the road, oncoming cars, and people that may be walking close by. Great for trips to the Vet, groomer, and daycare. Taking your pup to the local street fair Or outdoor market or just walking the city streets!
C- Behavior ToolFShort Traffic and Car Safety Restraint Lead/Leash is also a great behavior tool. It can be placed on your dog when guests are coming to visit, so you can restrain your dog from jumping on your guests.
Our son taught his Boxer Jessie to not jump up on guests when he put this on her in the house. After his guests arrived, and she calmed down he allowed her to walk around the house with the lead. If starts getting excited and jump up to greet folks, he would grab the restraining lead handle and pull her to a sitting position. After a few times of doing this, when she is wearing the Retraining lead in the house, she knows she is not allowed to jump up on people. This has been a great tool.
We also keep the restraining lead hanging by the door. If someone we don’t know rings our door bell, we say just a second, and place the restraining lead on our dog. That keeps the dog by our side and in control as we answer the door. It also provides a safety factor when a stranger sees our dog is attached to us with the lead. I always use the restrainer lead when I have a service man in our house. It allows the service man to do his job without my dog distracting him, and it also provides me with the security of my dog with a workman in the house. Placing a dog in another room or a crate offers you no protection should a problem present itself. Keeping your dog close to you keeps you and your dog safe.
D- Ease of accessAttachable to a fence, belt, handbag, or seat belt for easy storage when not in use. Think of those when you are hiking camping or going to the dog park- the Traffic / Car Saftey restraint can be uses and then when you can let your pup off leash, simply hook it to your pocket or belt loop .
