You don't have to. If you feel the pup would be more comfortable, then you can bring it. Otherwise there are plenty of beds for everyone.
It is very important to us to know the personality of the dog and what makes him or her who they are. Aunt Lyn's will send you a form where you can specify the dog's schedule, specific needs, and personality likes and dislikes. The same form asks for updated veterinary information as well.
While we cannot always accommodate, we do try our best to accommodate - when possible. We understand that sometimes schedules aren't set in stone and life happens!
Aunt Lyn's is like home and if you have a puppy that is being crate trained (crate training is very good) we will follow your home routine. If your dog is older, and not crate trained, they will sleep where they normally sleep at home. If that's a bed, your bed, on the floor, or anywhere else, whatever makes them comfortable will be where they sleep at Aunt Lyn's as well.
For vacation stays, all you need to bring are your dog and his/her food. We have plenty of toys and snacks. For the first visit, maybe a shirt or something from your house that your dog can sleep with for comfort.
Because Aunt Lyn's only takes a select, small group of dogs at one time to maintain the "like home" atmosphere. Many clients book with us prior to making plane reservations for vacations. Daycare pass holders are always guaranteed a vacation spot, however we do have backup for our vacation clients should we be booked. Rule of thumb Holidays and School breaks fill at least a 2 month in advance.
Don't worry. Aunt Lyn has trained people who come help entertain, play, and keep the dogs happy. In the event that we are booked, Aunt Lyn would suggest that you use one of these experienced people. They live close by, have been trained by Aunt Lyn.
The clients who use Aunt Lyn have family oriented pets. We will not accept dogs who may endanger other guests -to ensure owners of their pup's safety.
We don't have a problem with a dog needing medication as long as the dog does not have a contagious illness . We will gladly administer the medication for an additional fee. Many dogs are living to be older and we are thoroughly aware of the medicines needed to improve their quality of life.
In order to maintain all the pup's happiness during playtime, Aunt Lyn's will generally not take dogs over a year old, that have not been neutered. It is difficult for these dogs to interact playfully with other dogs who are new to them, because their the natural hormone reaction kicks in.DAYCARE
The fifth week in a month is optional. If you want to take it, you would pay extra at the same low membership rate.
